SHINOHARA Yukio

1948 Born in Osaka, Japan
1972 Graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Kyoto University of Education.
Debuted as a single-frame cartoonist in Sankei Shimbun while in University
Published a 1-frame work in Osaka Shimbun, Yomiuri Shimbun(Newspaper), Asahi Shimbun, Nihon Keizai Shimbun, etc.
Comic illustrations, manga essays, and 4-frame comics are also published.
From 1976 to 1993, while teaching art to children at a junior high school in Yao City, Osaka, he led a 2 step life with a cartoonist.
In 1994, he quit teacher of Junior high School and started working as a cartoonist.
2005 to 2019 Professor, Faculty of Manga, Kyoto Seika University
Now a professor emeritus of Kyoto Seika University.

He lost his childhood friend’s wife in 2007.
Lives in Nara.
